Mallorca is not just a haven for beaches and nightlife. It’s fast becoming a global hub for walking football, the low-impact, high-fun version of the beautiful game.
If you’re part of a walking football team on the island or an enthusiast looking to form one, now’s the perfect time to lace up your boots and register for the 8th Mallorca Walking Football Tournament, set for April 30 to 4, 2026, at the stunning Santa Ponsa Sports Complex in Calvià .
Walking football is all about keeping the passion for the game alive in a safe, social, and inclusive way, perfect for players aged 50+ (and 40+ for women’s teams). The 2026 tournament, organised by Mallorca Football Events (MFE), promises to be bigger and better than ever. With up to 50 international teams expected, you’ll face off against squads from Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the USA, and beyond, all while playing on five of the best outdoor pitches. The events are often mixes of Dutch and English rules for 6-a-side matches (no goalkeepers), catering to all skill and fitness levels, from seasoned players to newcomers.
Age categories (50+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and Women’s 40+) ensure fair play, and the €205 team entry fee makes it accessible for local and visiting squads alike. Just remember – no running! Contact Mallorca Football Events at info@mallorca-tournament.com or calling +31 653 333 083. The entry fee for the tournament is € 220 per team.
