TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has stated that the government aims to produce tech-savvy Islamic students who can meet the challenges of the times. Gibran said the government wants to produce students who are experts in blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and biotechnology.Gibran made the remarks while attending the Inauguration of the Management of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP Ansor) of Central Java Service Period 2025-2029 at the As Shodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Sawah Besar Street, Gayamsari District, Semarang City, Central Java, on Sunday, November 2, 2025."The Ansor youth must have good morals and religious knowledge, but it should be balanced with knowledge that can address the challenges of the times. We want to produce students who are experts in blockchain, artificial intelligence, robotics, and biotechnology," Gibran said, as quoted in the official statement from the Vice President's Secretariat.He also asked the Management of the Ansor Youth Movement of Central Java to support government programs, such as free nutritious meals, free health checks, People's Schools, Garuda Schools, and social assistance. "Please support programs such as MBG, Free Health Checks, People's Schools, Garuda Schools, social assistance, and ensure that they are distributed well and reach the right targets," Gibran said.Gibran said the government cannot work alone in realizing the vision, mission, and national development programs. He believes that partnerships with various parties, including youth and religious organizations such as the GP Ansor, are crucial steps to ensure that government programs run effectively and reach the right targets."The government needs young people who are enthusiastic about progress. Here, the role of GP Ansor has been proven as a youth organization that upholds the values of Islam and nationalism," Gibran said.Gibran stated that the government is committed to creating extensive collaboration opportunities for youth and religious organizations, such as GP Ansor, to accelerate the achievement of national development targets. Congratulations on your duty, may you always bring new spirit and energy in your dedication to the organization, the people, and the nation," he said.Meanwhile, the Chair of the GP Ansor Central Leadership Council, Addin Jauharudin, emphasized that GP Ansor will continue to prepare strong, competitive, and adaptive young cadres to face the changing times."The scope of Ansor cadres, in addition to focusing on religious and cadre education, is directed towards how all cadres can innovate, advance their human resources, and become catalysts for the development of young people in their respective regions," he said.Addin also stressed the importance of cross-sector collaboration so that the presence of Ansor is truly beneficial to the community.
