The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE), 2026, and issued the application forms for the same. Students can now apply online at www.viteee.vit.ac.in for admission to VIT’s flagship engineering programmes offered across its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati, and Bhopal. VITEEE 2026 will be conducted in a single phase, scheduled from April 28, 2026, to May 3, 2026. The exam will be held in 134 test cities across India and at nine international test centres, providing students the flexibility to choose a location based on their place of study or native region. As per the VITEEE eligibility criteria, students who have qualified or are appearing for Class 12 exams with a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent in physics, chemistry, and mathematics or biology (50 per cent for reserved categories) are eligible to apply. The applicant should be a resident, NRI, Overseas Citizen of India or Person of Indian Origin card holder. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2004, are eligible to fill the form. The registration fee is Rs 1,350 (inclusive of GST). The mode of exam is online. The two-hour, 30-minute test in English has 35 questions from Physics and Chemistry each, 40 from Mathematics, five from English, and 10 from Aptitude. Every correct answer gets four marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
