Virgin Media's TV packages just got a huge update with freebie that rivals Sky

Virgin Media has just made some huge changes to its TV package offerings with an addition that means most of its plans now rival Sky in a big way. The huge revamp sees an overhaul to all existing plans, with changes to the names, prices, and most importantly – benefits. The cheapest TV and broadband plan that Virgin Media now offers if the M125 Fibre Broadband + Flex , which is priced at £30.99. This is available on a 30-day rolling contract, so there’s no long term commitment to worry about. For their money, shoppers will get over 150 TV channels to enjoy, plus the speedy 132Mbps internet speeds that are more than suitable for most households. However, there’s more fun to be had with Virgin’s 24-month contract that come with plenty of extras [via Wales Online ]. This is because the company has just launched the £36.99 Entertainment bundle , which offers over 200 channels – including selected Sky channels and all the essential free-to-air channels – plus 362Mbps fibre broadband. However, Virgin has made a significant change to its plans by also offering a free Netflix subscription. Previously, Netflix was only included in Virgin’s more expensive plans. This move brings Virgin closer to rival Sky, which includes Netflix in all its TV packages. These packages offer a selection of over 200 regular channels and either Sky Cinema HD or eight Sky Sports channels. They include Premier League , GolfF1, as well as 362Mbps broadband and Netflix at no additional cost. For those seeking the best of both worlds, the £74.99 Sport + Cinema bundle combines these packages with a faster 500Mbps broadband. The £84.99 Max Volt bundle offers the same but with ‘blazing fast’ internet speeds of up to 1,130Mbps. This package also includes an O2 Classic Plan SIM with unlimited data, minutes and texts, plus roaming in 75 destinations. O2 Extra is included, as well as a three-month free subscription to Amazon Prime or Disney+. However, there’s a catch as Virgin has adjusted its mid-contract price rise. From April 2026, customers can anticipate an annual increase of £4 on their bill. This means the £36.99 package will rise to £40.99 from April 2026 and £44.99 from April 2027. Virgin isn’t alone in increasing its prices annually, as Sky raised its TV and broadband prices by 6.2% earlier this year. Sky hasn’t confirmed its 2026 price rise yet, but it does offer more affordable TV deals for customers looking to upgrade without changing their current broadband. Sky’s packages start with the £15 Essential TV bundle , which provides over 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic, something not available with Virgin. Sky also includes free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ with its popular £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle. However, remember that Sky states the price of its 24-month contracts ‘may change’ during the minimum term.
