Virgin Media has unveiled major changes to its TV packages and added one freebie that rivals Sky. The telecoms provider has refreshed its TV and broadband plans, complete with new names, prices and benefits. Virgin’s plans now start with the £30.99 M125 Fibre Broadband + Flex , which comes on a 30-day rolling contract with no long-term commitment. This includes more than 150 TV channels and 132Mbps fibre broadband, but customers may find better value if they’re happy to sign up for one of Virgin’s 24-month contracts. That’s because the firm has just introduced the £36.99 Entertainment bundle , offering more than 200 channels – including select Sky channels and all the essential free-to-air channels – plus 362Mbps fibre broadband. However, Virgin has made a huge change to its plans by also including a free Netflix subscription . Previously, Netflix was only included in Virgin’s more pricey plans. This makes Virgin a closer rival to Sky , which offers Netflix with all its TV packages. There are also new Virgin plans aimed at film and sport fans. Including the £46.99 Cinema bundle and £66.99 Sport bundle . These offer a choice of more than 200 regular channels and either Sky Cinema HD or eight Sky Sports channels. With Premier League, GolfF1, as well as 362Mbps broadband and Netflix at no extra cost. For the best of both worlds, the £74.99 Sport + Cinema bundle rolls these packages into one alongside faster 500Mbps broadband. The same goes for the £84.99 Max Volt bundle , but this delivers ‘blazing fast’ internet speeds of up to 1,130Mbps. With this option, customers also receive an O2 Classic Plan SIM packed with unlimited data, minutes and texts, plus roaming in 75 destinations. O2 Extra is also on the list, as well as Amazon Prime or Disney+, free for three months. However, the changes also come with a caveat as Virgin has also adjusted its mid-contract price rise. From April 2026, customers can expect to see £4 added to their bill each year. This means the £36.99 package will increase to £40.99 from April 2026 and £44.99 from April 2027. Virgin isn’t the only provider to up its prices each year, with Sky upping its TV and broadband prices by 6.2% earlier this year. Sky is yet to confirm its 2026 price rise, but it offers more affordable TV deals for shoppers looking to upgrade without changing their current broadband. Sky’s packages now start with the £15 Essential TV bundle , its entry-level plan providing more than 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic, something not available with Virgin. Sky also throws in free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+, including with the popular £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle . Just remember that Sky states the price of its 24-month contracts ‘may change’ during the minimum term.
