India are all set to take on Australia in a three-match Test Series beginning on October 19. This series is special, since it will mark the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in Team India colours after seven months. However, Rohit will not be captaining the team, with Shubman Gill set to be the captain. However, for the past few months, Virat Kohli has been travelling from London, where he has seemed to settle for now with his family. However, he might not fly directly to Australia. According to a report by PTI, the team will leave to Australia in two batches on October 15- one in the morning and one in the evening. Before that the team will assemble in New Delhi before travelling to Perth, where the first ODI is set to take place. However, the team is set to assemble in Delhi first. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will thus travel back to Delhi where they will join the members of the squad for the Test Series vs West Indies. They will also be joined by newly appointed vice-captain Shreyas Iyer. The fact that there are two batches travelling to Australia is due to the availability of adequate business class seats. If the ongoing domestic or international fixtures wrap up sooner than expected, players named in the ODI squad may be allowed a brief break to spend time at home before assembling in Delhi.
