Viral £5 drink loved by Gen Z to arrive in Wetherspoons pubs across the UK

Wetherspoons have announced they are stocking one of the most viral Gen Z loved cocktails . The popular Buzzballz have become a cult favourite among youngsters with their fun flavours and ready to drink cocktails. Across the UK, BuzzBallz are a core part of a new drinking ritual, and the ready to drink cocktails have quickly become the undisputed drink of the summer, arriving in 2022 after originating in Texas in 2009, and now Wetherspoons have made sure fans can get their hands on one when visiting one of their pubs around the country. While necking WKD's, VK's and Smirnoff Ice may seem like a distant memory for many Millennials, BuzzBallz have now given Gen Z the same 'buzz' like that of WKD's, and the American cocktail ball has become a British staple especially among students. The chain posted a photo on their Instagram page announcing the news and captioned the post: "It's official. BuzzBallz are now in @wetherspoonsofficial across the UK. Go find your favourite ballz in your local Spoons." Packaged at 13.5 per cent abv, these cheap-and-cheerful twists on disco drinks are considerably stronger than your average cocktail. So it’s the perfect pre-party drink for your night's out. Fans were quick to comment on the post, with many saying it was "fantastic" and others so excited they had to "stay calm" over the news. One fan commented: "oh my god..." While another simply said: "Stay calm." However a third pleaded for another flavour to be stocked and said: "Wish the chocolate one was on the menu," and a fourth said: "Britain is so back." Strawberry ‘Rita, Tequila ‘Rita and Chili Mango are Britain’s favourite flavours, according to Wenz, and these are the three flavours that are being stocked in Wetherspoons. "The buzz has been largely driven by organic discovery, primarily in independent retailers and via word of mouth on social media,” says Jake Wenz, the CEO of Sazerac, the company who own BuzzBallz. “It has been incredible to watch BuzzBallz become a cult favourite among consumers in the UK, specifically gen Z,” as reported by The Guardian.
