VinFast might soon introduce its first MPV in India

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has been caught testing its upcoming electric multi-purpose vehicle (eMPV), the Limo Green, on Indian roads. The move comes just after the company filed a patent for the model. The Limo Green is expected to compete with Kia's Carens Clavis EV, currently the only eMPV in this segment. The Limo Green is a bigger car than its competitors, measuring 4.7m in length, 1.8m in width, and 1.7m in height. It has a wheelbase of 2.8m and comes with black wheel arch claddings, dual-tone ORVMs, and sleek DRLs for an attractive exterior look. The interior of the vehicle features a seven-seat layout with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen as well as four-speaker audio system and single-zone automatic climate control for passenger comfort. The VinFast Limo Green is powered by a 60.13kWh battery pack, and a motor that delivers 150kW of power and 280Nm of torque. The vehicle has a claimed range of up to 450km on a single charge. It can be charged from 10% to 70% in just half an hour using an 80kW DC fast charger, making it convenient for long-distance travel. VinFast has also launched a free charging initiative in India through its own network, VGreens. The company is expected to assemble the Limo Green at its Thoothukudi plant, just like its VF 6 and VF 7 models. In Vietnam, the company offers an eight-year/1,60,000km warranty on the Limo Green's battery pack. This suggests that it could be using an NMC battery pack for this eMPV model in India.
