Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about the company's working relationship with Saudi Arabia. The WWE has an ongoing ten-year strategic partnership with the country since 2018.Company President Nick Khan, during a recent interview, mentioned that the WWE has become a truly global product. He noted that several premium live events happen outside the United States and are tailored for the global audience. Khan also pointed out that the company is currently in the eighth year of its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He felt fans across the globe would travel to the country for WrestleMania in 2027.During a recent episode of Writing with Russo, the writer questioned Nick Khan's comments. He made it clear he would never travel halfway across the globe to witness the Show of Shows. Russo also wondered if any US citizens would travel to Saudi Arabia. The veteran writer was confident that US fans would never travel to Saudi Arabia to watch WrestleMania in 2027."Let me ask you. You really think people are going to travel to Saudi? You really think people in the US are going to go to Saudi? Come on, bro," Russo said.Earlier this year, the company announced that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. This will be the first time the grand event is held outside North America. In partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and Turki Alalshikh, the event will be a milestone moment in WWE's global expansion project.
