The Minnesota Vikings were able to come through with a massive win over the NFC North rival Detroit Lions in Week 9. He has had plenty of issues with injuries throughout his career, including earlier this season with the Vikings. This is great news about his status moving forward. In the win over Detroit, Jones carried the football nine times for 78 yards. He averaged 8.7 yards per attempt, while also catching two passes for 20 yards. Hopefully, the win over the Lions will be a stepping stone towards bigger success for Minnesota. There is no denying the fact that the Vikings have the talent to compete in the NFC. But, there are a lot of talented teams in the conference. More information is sure to be made available about Jones in the near future. This is a great preliminary update, although no one should think that it’s set in stone that he will be able to play against the Ravens.
