Victoria Beckham in tears over family feud as she declares 'enough is enough'

Victoria Beckham has decided to take a firm stance during her ongoing rift with her eldest son and daughter-in-law, according to an insider. The former Spice Girl turned fashion entrepreneur is currently preparing to reveal “the challenges and triumphs that have defined her” in her upcoming Netflix documentary – and it’s already tipped to become one of the platform’s most watched programmes this year. The preview for the three-part series, showed Victoria breaking down in tears as she battled the pressures of producing her Paris Fashion Week show, backed by David and several of her celebrity friends, whilst also exploring her time in what remains one of the globe’s most successful and legendary girl groups. The insider suggests that Posh was taken aback by how emotional she became during the documentary’s production, particularly when explaining her position as the family’s leading figure. At one point in the trailer, an emotional Victoria admits she just wants “my kids and David to be proud of me”, before before comforted by David, and our source reveals that’s merely a glimpse of what viewers can expect when it launches on 9 October. Speaking to the Mirror , the source says: “She found it very emotional but liberating at the same time. It made her realise how much she is loved, how her family have supported her and got her through the ups and downs.” “It was very much a roller coaster of emotions because of the big thing that’s still affecting her, her fractured relationship with Brooklyn. But it also made her realise that she can’t keep raking over the heartbreak of this situation with him, enough is enough, now.” The docuseries, which is directed by the filmmaker behind Michelle Obama’s Becoming film, is expected to show Essex-born Victoria confront several of her vulnerable spots throughout the years – including her often being labelled “that miserable cow that never smiled” during her early career, and her fashion business racking up millions of pounds of debt. The series’ description suggests there has always been “more than meets the eye” to Victoria, and promises “a rare, nuanced portrait of a woman who has continually reinvented herself in the public eye.” It adds: “Her journey from a determined young girl in England with her sights set on the world’s biggest stages to an international icon has been defined by ambition, reinvention, and an unwavering commitment to style.” While Victoria is likely to take the lead with personal reflections and direct-to-camera segments, the series also features contributions from former footballer David, who was knighted in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours, along with interviews with top figures in the fashion world and a handful of her closest friends. Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham, has been noticeably absent from recent family events and did not publicly acknowledge the trailer for his mother’s latest series on social media. This is a stark contrast to two years ago when Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, were active participants in “Brand Beckham”, even joining the family on the red carpet for the release of a documentary about David’s life. At that time, Brooklyn was a supporter of the family brand, describing it as “amazing” in interviews. However, his recent silence, particularly regarding his parents’ significant events such as his father’s 50th birthday, has fuelled rumours of a family feud, allegedly sparked by his relationship with Nicola. The trailer for the new series, produced by the same team behind the Beckham documentary, was released on 17 September. It quickly led to accusations that Brooklyn had been deliberately removed from the series. Despite accusations that Brooklyn has been completely erased from the show, he does make a short appearance in some footage from the late 90s. As Victoria emotionally states: “It’s taken so long to get to this point, I’m not going to let it slip through my fingers again”, we see a flashback of a much younger Posh Spice, all smiles as she holds baby Brooklyn on a yacht. An insider insists that viewers shouldn’t be surprised by Brooklyn’s brief appearances, despite the ongoing family feud, Victoria remains hopeful for a reunion one day. They claim: “She knows he will, one day, come back to her – but it’s just not the right time.” “That’s how she’s looking at it now, this project has made her realise how blessed she is to have her family around her and supporting her. She still hopes she and Brooklyn will sort things out, of course she does, but at the same time, she can’t keep fighting the same fight,” they continued.
