It will be a highly important project and is already attracting young people who want to enrich their CVs, whether they plan to work in Romania or abroad. From this perspective, we have tried to maintain a balance between employees over 30 and those under 30. Most of them are also final-year students or Master’s students. We are trying to ensure that senior staff provide mentorship for the younger ones. To conduct research, mentorship is essential – someone who has gone through all stages of the research process and can guide you through how to do it. We are also involved in another project in which we create scenarios that can be used on AI infrastructures. These scenarios cover everything from climate change to social change, national security, research, healthcare, and so on. The recently announced infrastructure project will provide the academic sector, public institutions, and the private environment with an infrastructure on which such scenarios can be developed. And for this type of technology, you also need people who understand it. When you write an AI application, you must think about how it will be used. We have a program that ensures training at least twice a year for all institute employees so they can stay up to date with technological developments. We are focused on the ethical use of AI and on the ethics of how AI is developed, because the European Union has regulations in this area.
