After the success of Chavva, Vicky Kaushal is all set to work on another timeless epic. He will soon be collaborating with Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik for a film based on the life of Chiranjeevi Parashurama. Titled Mahavatar, Vicky is reportedly planning for a certain lifestyle change before beginning to work on this movie. If a recent report is to be believed, the actor is planning to quit alcohol and non-veg for this movie. “A film like Mahavatar requires complete focus, and the duo (Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik) have decided to give it all to make it a pure spectacle for the cinema-going audience. They have decided to quit non-veg food, and will start their prep for the film with a grand pooja ceremony towards the middle of next year,” a source close to the project told Bollywood Hungama. “While Amar has already given up on the food habits, Vicky has decided to do so once the shoot for Love And War is wrapped up. It’s his way of showing respect to the part of Lord Parashurama,” the insider added. Meanwhile, the entertainment portal also claims that Mahavatar will go on floors towards the end of 2026 and is likely to release in theatres in 2028. Ranbir Kapoor Also Turns Vegetarian? Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor, who will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, has also decided to quit alcohol and non-veg. In September this year, it was reported that Ranbir has decided to adopt certain lifestyle changes for Ramayana. Reportedly, the actor is focusing on a strict sattvic diet, early workouts, and meditation to embody the spiritual discipline of the character. He has not only quit alcohol but also turned vegetarian. Vicky Kaushal-Ranbir Kapoor To Collaborate Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor are also set to collaborate. The two are currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. Also starring Alia Bhatt in the lead, the film will hit theatres in 2026.
