CAHS Hawks shut out Central Caribs in TTFL’s ‘Thursday Night Football’ matchup St. Thomas’ Charlotte Amalie High School routed St. Croix’s Central High School 32-0 on Thursday night at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School stadium to open the final week of the regular season in the V.I. Education Department’s Territorial Tackle Football League. The Hawks finish their regular-season schedule with a 4-2 record, with both losses coming against St. Thomas rival Ivanna Eudora Kean High School’s Devil Rays. The Caribs are 1-5. James Boschulte accounted for three touchdowns for Charlotte Amalie High. He ran for two scores, coming in the first and second quarters, and threw for the third to Jachai Augustine. Najai Liburd ran for 100 yards and one touchdown, as well as the Hawks’ lone two-point conversion, and Kevon Newmann capped Charlotte Amalie High’s scoring with his touchdown run in the fourth quarter. On defense, the Hawks picked off three passes by Central High, two of those by Boschulte and the third by Tyler Clark. Up next: Three-time defending league champion Ivanna Eudora Kean High (5-0) will face St. Croix Educational Complex’s Barracudas (1-4) on Saturday at the Complex stadium. Game time is 3 p.m. THURSDAY’S RESULTS Elementary Baseball Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School 4, Ulla Muller Elementary School 2: The Jets used a big third inning to defeat the Panthers in their St. Thomas-St. John Interscholastic Athletic Association league game at Emile Griffith Ball Park. Muller Elementary (7-3) opened by scoring a run in the top of the first inning, only for Tuitt Elementary (4-5) to respond with its own run in the bottom half of the inning. The Panthers then regained the lead with a solo run in the top of the second, but the Jets took the lead for good with a three-run outburst in the bottom of the third inning. No other information was available on the game. Up next: One game is on the schedule for today at Emile Griffith Ball Park. Antilles School (3-3) faces league frontrunner Joseph Sibilly Elementary School (7-0) at 4:30 p.m. Elementary Football Eulalie Rivera K-8 School 18, Ricardo Richards Elementary School 14: The Rams capped an undefeated season by beating the Strawberries to win the St. Croix Interscholastic Athletic Association league title at the Good Hope Country Day School field. Rivera K-8 School, the playoffs’ No. 1 seed, finished the season with a 10-0 record, while third-seeded Richards Elementary was 7-3. Jayceon Greaux threw for two touchdowns — one each to Jah’Shy Francis and Lauriel Francis III — and Jah’Shy returned an interception for another touchdown for the Rams. On defense, Juan Charles had a team-best nine flag pulls for Rivera K-8 School, and Greaux added six flag pulls as well as an interception. Kyvan Taylor and Mosiah Huggins had one touchdown each for the Strawberries, with Charlery Kahim adding a pair of one-point conversions. Elementary Softball Alfredo Andrews Elementary School 18, Pearl B. Larsen K-8 School 3: The Blazers rolled past the Dolphins to win their first St. Croix IAA league game of the season. Andrews Elementary (1-1) scored six runs in the top of the first inning to take the lead, then added six more runs in both the top of the second and third innings to pad its margin in the rule-shortened game. Larsen K-8 School (0-2) scored its runs in the bottom of the first, when the Dolphins scored twice, and in the bottom of the third with a solo run. No other information was available on the game. Free Will Baptist Christian School 11, Eulalie Rivera K-8 School 8: The Warriors broke a tie game in the second inning en route to its second straight St. Croix IAA league win, beating the Rams. Free Will Baptist (2-0) scored five runs in the top of the first inning, only for Rivera K-8 School (0-1) to match that in the bottom half of the inning. But the Warriors tacked on six runs in the top of the second, while the Rams scored only three times in the bottom of the second. No other information was available on the game.
