Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — With the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Saint Petersburg, five Uzbek minors who were left without parental care have been returned to their homeland, Dunyo news agency reported. The operation was organized jointly by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. The children had been under the care of social institutions and were placed in social rehabilitation centers and the Transit Social Shelter for minors in Saint Petersburg. A working group from Uzbekistan prepared all necessary documents for repatriation, while the Consulate General ensured free issuance of certificates confirming the children’s return to Uzbekistan.
