Uzbekistan and Serbia Agree to Launch New Joint Initiatives - UzDaily.uz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the official visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to Uzbekistan, a Uzbek-Serbian business forum and exhibition were held in Tashkent, bringing together government officials and over a hundred entrepreneurs from both countries. The event was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Khurram Teshabayev. The forum served as a key platform to discuss concrete steps for strengthening economic partnership and implementing joint projects. It was noted that bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Serbia grew by 2.5% in January–September 2025. Investment cooperation is also actively developing, with nine enterprises currently operating in Uzbekistan with Serbian capital. The accompanying exhibition featured more than 50 Uzbek companies showcasing products and innovations in pharmaceuticals, chemical and mining industries, construction, agriculture, automotive, as well as textile and leather production. The forum concluded with a series of B2B and G2B meetings, resulting in agreements to launch new joint initiatives and expand business contacts between the two countries.
