After missing last week’s 53-7 win over Colorado with an injury, Utah starting quarterback Devon Dampier was not listed on Wednesday night’s availability report. Dampier is expected to start for No. 24 Utah against No. 17 Cincinnati this Saturday, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. This season, Dampier has led Utah to a 5-2 record, throwing for 1,375 yards and 13 touchdowns with four interceptions on 69% accuracy and rushing for 442 yards and five touchdowns. Starting defensive tackle Dallas Vakalahi, who missed the Colorado game, is doubtful (25% chance of playing, according to Big 12 guidelines) for Saturday’s 8:15 p.m. MDT kickoff, along with fellow defensive tackle Semi Taulanga. Wide receiver Tobias Merriweather, who also missed the Colorado game, is listed as questionable (50%) chance to play. Cincinnati’s leading running back, Evan Pryor, is out for the Utah game. Pryor has rushed for 478 yards and three touchdowns on 66 carries this season, but the Utes will still have to deal with Tawee Walker, who has 466 yards and four scores on 90 carries.
