USPS makes major updates to its services: What to expect with mail in the coming months

Many major businesses are gearing up for the busiest time of year — including the United States Postal Service. “With the goal of realigning the national postal network to meet the mailing and shipping needs of modern consumers,” the USPS said it’s invested nearly $20 billion in its facilities over the past four years. USPS outlined several areas of progress ahead of the 2025 holiday season, including increasing its package processing capacities by 20 million parcels a day. Recently, the agency also added a new chief performance officer position and an associated group “to identify ways to work more effectively and efficiently, working closely with customers to match needs with solutions.” The USPS said in a statement that its ongoing initiatives and holiday preparations mean ”the organization is more than ready to deliver for the holidays.”
