US gives Netanyahu green light to threaten Iraqi resistance

At the 80th United Nations General Assembly, while world leaders and heads of state were booing the regime for its crimes in Gaza, Benjamin Netanyahu began his speech with allegations against Iran and the resistance groups in the region. Netanyahu directly threatened the resistance groups in Iraq and declared to target them.

Netanyahu’s threat to attack the Iraqi resistance groups, which is a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty, received a reaction from Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein. According to Fuad Hussein, an attack on any Iraqi citizen would be considered an attack on all of Iraq.

Speaking to Mehr correspondent in Tehran, the representative of the Secretary General of the Iraqi Nujaba resistance group Seyyed Abbas Mousavi shed light on the matter. The full transcript of the interview is as follows:

Q: Netanyahu began his speech at the 80th UN General Assembly with claims and threats against Iran and the resistance fighters from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Ansarullah to the Iraqi resistance. Why did Netanyahu threaten the Iraqi resistance?

Mousavi: The Iraqi nation and the resistance groups are proud of themselves for Netanyahu’s threat, because the threat of the Israeli Prime Minister shows how painful and effective the attacks by the Iraqi resistance groups in support of Palestine, which have been carried out over the past two years against the military and security centers and vital targets of the Israeli regime on the shores of the Dead Sea, Haifa, and the heart of this usurping regime, have been. The attacks by the Iraqi resistance groups have gone down in history and the Zionist enemy is well aware of them.

The occupying regime of holy Quds knows that the Islamic resistance groups in Iraq are constantly evolving and have become stronger and more united. The Iraqi resistance groups are a threat to this illegitimate regime and have prevented this fake regime from achieving its strategic goal (from the Nile to the Euphrates); A goal that Tel Aviv has been struggling to achieve for decades.

Q: What is the official stance of the Iraqi nation and resistance groups regarding this threat?

Mousavi: Netanyahu’s threat against the Iraqi resistance is, first, a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Iraqi government and the dear people of the country. Second, the Iraqi resistance groups and the people firmly believe, without a shred of doubt, that this clear threat by the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime at the UN General Assembly was made with the green light of the United States. Third, regardless of its implementation, this threat is an attack on the Islamic resistance groups in Iraq and their supporters, as well as the Iraqi sovereignty and its people, which will be responded to at the proportionate time. Fourth, the threat by the Prime Minister of the occupying regime of holy Quds will increase the strength, stability, and resolve of the Iraqi resistance groups. This insignificant threat will never isolate the Iraqi resistance; on the contrary, the resistance will continue on its path with dynamism and vitality.

Netanyahu’s threat was made on the eve of the anniversary of the martyrdom of the master of martyrs of the axis of the Islamic resistance, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, which was a reminder of his martyrdom in the path of noble principles and ideals, and this strengthens the determination of those who follow his path. Resistance groups will follow the path of Martyr Nasrallah and will sacrifice their lives for his goals to achieve one of the two goals: either victory or martyrdom.

Q: How do you see the future of the Iraqi resistance after this threat?

Mousavi: We believe that direct conflict with the Zionist regime will make the Iraqi resistance groups more experienced and skillful, and will make their future bright and promising at all levels. We expect human losses and the martyrdom of some leaders and officials. This is a natural thing in all battles against the forces of evil. But in the end, God willing, victory will be ours. It is in our culture and belief that even the blood of martyrs illuminates our path, blesses us, and creates a state of illumination in the soul. What is important and truly leads to victory is the survival, stability, and perseverance of the resistance groups.
