Nov 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration plans to name oncology expert Richard Pazdur as the nation's top drug regulator, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing three people familiar with the matter. Pazdur would lead the agency's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, which regulates over-the-counter medicines and most prescription drugs. Last week, Tidmarsh resigned from the role amid serious concerns about his personal conduct, a Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson told Reuters. Tidmarsh, a seasoned biotech executive and longtime Stanford University professor, took over as the director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research in July.
