United Spirits (USL) has reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹464 crore in the second quarter of FY26, growing 36.1 per cent over Q2FY25. The liquor giant’s consolidated net sales value (NSV) rose 11.6 per cent YoY to ₹3,173 crore. This was driven by 11.5 per cent growth in the standalone business. Its consolidated EBITDA was recorded at ₹660 crore, up 31.5 per cent YoY, driven by the standalone business. On a standalone basis, USL’s net sales were at ₹3,170 crore, up 11.5 per cent YoY, driven by the re-entry in Andhra Pradesh, and a favourable prior year comparatives in this quarter, largely offset by the adverse policy changes in Maharashtra. Within the 11.5 per cent growth, the Prestige & Above segment grew 12.4 per cent, while the NSV for the popular segment grew 9.2 per cent. PAT tax was ₹472 crore, with a net profit margin of 14.9 per cent, growing 40.9 per cent YoY. Commenting on the Q2FY26 performance, Praveen Someshwar, CEO & Managing Director, Diageo India, said, “We have delivered a strong quarter on topline and EBITDA growth and ended the first-half in line with our expectations, while navigating the regulatory headwinds in Maharashtra. Looking ahead, the second-half of the year is the all-important festive, holiday, and wedding season. We are excited about our commercial and marketing programmes bringing our brand portfolio alive for the consumers while driving category salience and growth.” The company’s sales volume rose sharply to 16.6 million cases, compared with 15.4 million cases in the previous year.
