Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requests to transfer management of Sanskrit Vidyala to Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written a letter to Minister Prithviraj Harichandan over handing over the Sanskrit Vidyalaya to the Odisha Government. In the letter he has asked the Union Minister to give the management responsibility of Panda Nijoga Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Puri to the Odisha Goverment.

According to information, Union Minister has urged Odisha Law Minister to hand over the management responsibility of the Panda Nijoga Sanskrit Vidyalaya in the Puri Jagannath Temple complex to the School and Mass Education Department of Odisha Government.

This school has played an important role in imparting Sanskrit education, Vedic education and ritual training to the children of the Sevayats.

At present, it is functioning as an aided school run by Puja Panda Niyog. The Union Education Minister has requested the Law Minister to direct the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to handover the entire management and administration of this school to the School and Public Education Department of the Odisha government.

This will ensure the overall development of the school and preserve the glorious heritage of Shri Jagannath culture for future generations, he mentioned in the letter.

It is to be noted that the Ratna Bhandar Hundi shifting has been completed today in the presence of the Magistrate and other officials. The keys of the inventory has been kept in the district treasury.
