Copenhagen, September 27 (QNA) - Danish armed forces announced Saturday the detection of unidentified drones flying near military installations, amid a growing wave of similar incidents targeting airports and vital infrastructure across the country since last week. Local media reported that drones were spotted near Karup Air Base in western Denmark, although the military has not disclosed other specific locations where the drones were observed. Copenhagen Airport, Northern Europe’s busiest, was forced to shut down for several hours late Monday after multiple large drones entered its airspace. In the days that followed, five smaller civilian and military airports were temporarily closed due to similar breaches. Danish authorities have described these incursions as multi-modal attacks, while Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen last week warned that they represent the most serious threat to Denmark’s critical infrastructure to date.
