The Ukrainian developer of autonomous drone control systems NORDA Dynamics has successfully closed a $1 million funding round, the company announced in a press release emailed to Kyiv Post.
The company plans to direct the funds toward scaling production and its team, as well as developing new products to enhance UAV autonomy. The company’s engineers work on solutions that ensure mission execution without operator involvement, even in challenging combat or isolated environments.
Varangians, a Swedish investment company launched in 2025, became the leading investor. The round also included Ukrainian funds Angel One, MITS Capital, the angel syndicate United Angels Network, and US-based Unpopular VC.
Since its founding in 2024, NORDA Dynamics’ team has been focused on creating autonomous UAV control systems capable of operating without GPS, traditional communication channels, and under conditions of active electronic warfare, the press release says.
The universal autonomy module Underdog is among publicly presented company’s flagship products, as well as StableLink stabilization system.
Underdog is valued for its high efficiency, affordability, and ease of integration, according to Nazar Bihun, co-founder and CEO of NORDA Dynamics.
“Today, it is the most widely used UAV target guidance system in the combat zone,” the press release quoted Bihun.
StableLink maintains precise azimuth and altitude control even under active electronic warfare and in complete GPS denial. StableLink is already actively used for autonomous missions of relay and minelaying drones, ensuring stable and accurate execution of combat tasks, the press release says.
The funds raised will be directed toward intensive R&D, expanding the team of highly qualified engineers, extensive testing programs, and further scaling of the product ecosystem.
The Swedish investors who led the round, Varangians, aim to accelerate the development of defense technologies to protect Ukraine, support Europe’s rearmament through Ukrainian innovation, and deliver long-term economic value to all stakeholders, the press release says.
“We have reviewed many strong defense technology companies in Ukraine, and NORDA’s team is among the best. The company addresses one of the key challenges on the battlefield and has the team and competencies to continue delivering innovative solutions,” the press release quoted Pär Lager, CEO of Varangians.
Ukraine-US-based MITS Capital saw NORDA Dynamics graduate from its accelerator program and later added the startup to its investment portfolio.
“We are excited to see NORDA Dynamics’ rapid progress since graduating from our accelerator program. The founders have a technological vision that helps Ukraine win the drone war, and we are pleased to support it,” the press release quoted Denys Gurak, co-founder and CIO/COO of MITS Capital.
