After its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes pilot in Delhi NCR, Uber has expanded the offering to Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune. The service allows riders to book custom-designed, caravan-style motorhomes for outstation trips, blending luxury and comfort with long-distance road travel.
The expansion comes after the pilot in Delhi, where the one-month trial during the monsoon travel season recorded full occupancy and strong demand from travellers seeking premium and private travel options, according to a release by Uber. The offering will continue in Delhi NCR till December 31, 2025, while bookings in the newly added cities open on October 13, with rides commencing from October 15, release stated.
Shiva Shailendran, Director Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia, said, “The response to Intercity Motorhomes underscores the growing appetite for dependable and comfortable travel between cities. With the continued success of our campaign and the expansion to more cities, we’re further strengthening Intercity’s position as the go-to option for long-distance travel across India.”
Inside a Motorhome
Each Intercity Motorhome comes equipped with a television, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and lavatory, accommodating four to five passengers along with a driver and a helper.
The vehicles promise a private, lounge-like experience for riders and can be booked in advance through Uber Reserve, with features such as live ride tracking and 24×7 support, according to the release.
