UBEC, SUBEB train newly-employed maths, science teachers

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in collaboration with the Delta State Universal Basic Education Board, is organising a five-day capacity building workshop on Strengthening Mathematics and Science Education for 200 newly employed Mathematics and Science Teachers across the 25 local government areas of Delta State. The capacity building workshop according to UBEC and SUBEB, followed successful completion of Phase One, Cycle 1 to Cycle 4 In Service Education and Training (INSET), from 2012 to 2025 of the SMASE programme. Read Also: Nigeria’s population to hit 368.8m by 2050 – World Bank The training which is an initiative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), is residential and scheduled to hold from Monday 20th to Friday 24th October 2025 at Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ughelli, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
