The Miami Dolphins’ season has not started off well. While team notched its first win on “Monday Night Football” against the New York Jets, it came at the price of losing Tyreek Hill for the season.
The star receiver suffered a gruesome leg injury during the game and was carted off. He was reportedly taken to a hospital and will undergo surgery on Tuesday, according to The Athletic.
“Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill tore multiple ligaments in his left knee, including his ACL, and dislocated his knee in Miami’s 27-21 win Monday night against the New York Jets, according to a team source,” wrote The Athletic’s Jayna Bardahl and Dianna Russini.

Hill’s injury looked terrible as soon as it happened. According to Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Jesse Morse, the injury could be even worse than many think.
“Season-ending, possibly career-ending, in light of the fact that he’s going to be 32 in March,” Morse wrote on X. “Wish him the best of luck in his long journey back. Possibly the end of a fantastic career for one of the true game-changing WRs over the past 25 years.”
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Hill’s status for next season is already in doubt. Hill is one of the best receivers of this generation, but his road back to dominance could be a long one. The former Kansas City Chief is in his 10th season. He has 11,363 career receiving yards and 83 receiving touchdowns. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro.
