Country musician Tyler Rich lightened the mood amid travel woes for a delayed plane full of passengers last week. Last Thursday, Rich and a group of passengers onboard a Southwest Airlines flight in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, were delayed on the tarmac for over an hour when the singer hopped on the intercom, according to a release from his representative describing the moment. "We were delayed sitting on the plane for over an hour, and the flight attendant was telling jokes," Rich shared in the release. "Then the other one jokingly begged me to play a song so the jokes would stop, which I was happy to do." A video of the moment shared to Rich's Instagram shows the singer, guitar in hand, performing his 2025 song "Whiskey Go Bad" standing at the front of the plane. The plane full of passengers applaud as Rich walks down the aisle after his performance. "Definitely never thought this would be fun. But turns out it actually is haha Thanks for the awesome memory @southwestair 🍻✈️," Rich wrote in the caption. "When your delayed flight turns into a jam session," reads the text on screen of the video.
