What you missed on episode 11, “Surprise, Surprise”
As tensions continued to rise during episode 10, “Back Shot,” the midseason finale, “Surprise, Surprise,” found everyone pressing pause on their own still-developing conflicts. When the group realized that Karen had disappeared, they reconnected over shared concern for their grieving friend. Amid the search — fraught with the possibility of either foul play or a chilling voluntary vanishing — Andi also faced professional turmoil.
Her career has been one of several focal points so far this season, what with the malpractice suit against Dr. Cruise that gave way to a budding relationship with Dr. Vaughn. It turns out, the would-be defendant is a close personal friend of Hayden’s, and a new client of the firm. So as word spread of Karen’s cryptic note, Andi held onto the importance of exposing systemic medical discrimination. She only began gathering evidence after Karen’s harrowing experience at the hospital; and with her missing, pursuing the case — even if in secret — now seems even more significant.
“Tyler Perry’s Sistas” is set to resume next month with episode 12, “Search Party.”
