Two Lamborghini drivers have crashed their supercars this weekend in London, causing tens of thousands of pounds of damage in separate smashes. One of the Italian luxury vehicles hit a blue Audi SUV in the Leyton area of east London on Saturday. The four-by-four appears to have mounted the pavement before the cars' front bumpers collided on the busy High Road in the borough of Waltham Forest. Then in the early hours of Monday morning, another crashed into a bus stop, in the Battersea area of the capital. Paramedics were called to the scene on Lombard Road, overlooking the Thames, at just before 2am, with the crew taking a woman to hospital. Shocking pictures of both crashes show the fronts of the sports cars completely wrecked by the impact. And in Battersea, the collision appears to have completely destroyed the bus stop. All its glass panels seem to have been smashed, with shards scattered across the pavement, while large sections of the structure hang down. A police cordon and a heavy officer presence can be seen in the dramatic pictures of the scene - but the car has since been removed. A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said crews did not attend the collision in Leyton. But in regards to the crash in Battersea, they said: 'We were called today (Monday 27) at 1.57am to reports of a road traffic collision in Lombard Road, SW11. 'We sent an ambulance crew and treated a woman at the scene before taking her to hospital.' The Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade have been contacted for comment. In recent years supercar crashes has become a recurring issue in the capital. Last year, a £200,000 Lamborghini was wrecked in London after it was driven into a pole by a driver who then ambled away from the wreck, dropping items as he fled. The car, which Daily Mail has identified as a Huracan EVO Spyder priced at over £218,000, was ploughed into a pole indicating a cycle route on Wapping High Street, metres from a London Overground station. Viral footage shared on social media showed the convertible luxury sports car in a crumpled wreck as a person clamours to get out of the vehicle before running down the street. Emergency services rushed to the area in July 2024 where the driver and a passenger were treated for minor injuries. The Met Police told the Mail at the time that the supercar was a hire car. In 2023, a Lamborghini ploughed into the back of a Royal Mail van while overtaking traffic. In the chilling dash cam footage, the blue supercar can be seen careering in and out of traffic on Royal Dock Road in Beckton, east London. After running close a few times, the vehicle pulls out into the opposite lane to overtake and ploughs straight into the van. Footage after the crash shows the expensive sports car and delivery van completely totalled with severe damage to both of the front bonnets. The horror smash was caught on video by nearby motorists occurred in July 2023 at around 7.20pm on Royal Dock Road in Beckton, with images showing the front of the £187,000 supercar completely destroyed.
