Two Fires Strike Belize City in One Day Belize City was hit by two separate fires on Thursday, October 30, leaving a business and a home damaged. The first fire occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Caesar Ridge Road. The homeowner, 56-year-old Clifton Flores, had left his house shortly before the fire started and discovered it burning upon his return. Firefighters quickly responded and brought the blaze under control. Fortunately, no one was home. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Later in the night, around 9:36 p.m., police were called to a fire at 303 Deli on Logwood Street. The business, owned by 44-year-old Caroline Jones, had been closed for nearly two hours when it was found completely on fire. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames, and no injuries were reported. Police are investigating both incidents.
