Mike Coppinger revealed on “Inside The Ring” that Turki Alalshikh boxing plans are already focused on February 2026, with a stacked card in the works.
Alalshikh’s boxing plans could see David Benavidez and Devin Haney co-headline, provided both win their bouts on the Ring IV card on November 22.
Turki Alalshikh boxing plans – February 2026 card in the works
Alalshikh originally thought Canelo would headline a February card in Riyadh, but Coppinger also revealed the Mexican needs elbow surgery.
It remains to be seen if this comes to fruition, and those plans rely on Benavidez and Haney both winning their respective fights on November 22.
Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) will defend his WBC light heavyweight crown against Anthony Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs). This looks set to be a slugfest with both heavy punchers. It would be a huge surprise to see this fight go the distance.
Haney (32-0, 15 KOs, 1 NC) has been under tremendous scrutiny following his controversial no contest with Ryan Garcia, and his unconvincing comeback win against Jose Ramirez. At Ring VI, Haney will face WBO welterweight champ Brian Norman (28-0, 22 KOs, 1 NC).
Turki Alalshikh boxing plans
Paramount and Zuffa Boxing have agreed to an exclusive partnership to show Zuffa events. The deal will begin in 2026, with 12 boxing cards on Paramount+ in 2026, with the option to grow.
Alalshikh spoke on the deal with Paramount:
“This partnership with Paramount reinforces our vision to redefine the way viewers consume boxing. More fight fans will now have access to watch some of the most exciting boxers around. We have seen the proof that the appetite is there, this is the future for live boxing coverage and will ensure the sport continues to thrive.”
The planned Riyadh Season cards and the partnership between Zuffa and Paramount signifies Alalshikh’s determination to remain at the forefront of boxing. This is a new era for the Sweet Science, and His Excellency is firmly in one corner.
