Tucker Carlson erupts over 'disgusting' Benjamin Netanyahu comment during Charlie Kirk tribute

Tucker Carlson took a subtle jab at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for using Charlie Kirk’s death to claim the conservative activist was a supporter of Israel.

The former Fox News host joined Vice President JD Vance for an interview on the ‘The Charlie Kirk Show’ during an episode dedicated to remembering the Turning Point USA leader.

Throughout his career, Kirk publicly supported the people of Israel, especially amid the country’s war with Hamas over the last few years.

However, Kirk has publicly and privately pushed the Trump administration to avoid involving the US in Middle Eastern conflicts, including the Iran-Israel war earlier this Summer.

‘I don’t think it’s helpful for people to jump in — particularly foreign heads of state — to say “This is what [Kirk believed], he lived for my cause,” or whatever,’ Carlson told Vance.

‘That’s disgusting, actually. Don’t do that. That turns everybody off and you don’t help your own cause by doing that, and it’s also literally untrue.’

Carlson noted that. although Kirk had a ‘genuine’ love for Israel, the conservative activist was against a ‘forever war or regime-change war against Iran.’

Previously, Carlson has claimed that Kirk faced pressure from his donors regarding his non-interventionist stance on Israel and Iran.

Although Carlson did not directly reference Netanyahu, his comments come a few days after the Israeli leader gave a tribute to Kirk on X.

‘Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom. A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization,” Netanyahu wrote.

‘I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place. We lost an incredible human being.’

‘His boundless prime in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.’

Kirk was shot and killed while speaking to college students at Utah Valley University last week. A suspect, Tyler Robinson, is under arrest but charges have yet to have been brought.

The Turning Point leader leaves behind two young children and his wife, Erika.

President Donald Trump, Vance, and other administration officials are expected to attend his funeral in Arizona this weekend.

Trump announced last week that he plans to honor Kirk by posthumously awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
