Tubi, Fox Corp.’s free ad-supported streaming service, announced its first slate of exclusive digital-first creator series from Joey Graceffa, KevOnStage, Rock Squad, TheOneShu, Bigg Jah and Dan & Riya. The lineup includes a return of Graceffa’s “Escape the Night,” a semi-scripted murder-mystery series which ran for four seasons as a YouTube original series — and racked up more than 2 billion views — before the video platform canceled it in 2020 as part of YouTube’s wind-down of original content. “Escape the Night,” hosted by YouTube creator Graceffa, will return to Tubi with a series premiering later this month that serves as the “grand finale to the saga.” According to Tubi, the new installment picks up where Season 4 left off as “Joey and his friends are pulled into a twisted, 1980s-inspired realm filled with cryptic clues, monstrous challenges and shocking betrayals.” Digital-first creator content on Tubi has now grown to over 10,000 titles from ,pre than 100 creators, part of the platform’s broader mission to champion new voices and expand access to Hollywood for emerging talent. This August, Tubi expanded its creator catalog with new content from Jimmy Donaldson (better known as Mr. Beast), Jomboy Media, CelinaSpookyBoo and Steven He, after the streaming platform previously announced deals with creators including Rhett & Link’s Mythical, FunnyMike, Jubilee and Watcher Entertainment, the digital studio founded by Steven Lim, Ryan Bergara, and Shane Madej. Two weeks ago, Tubi announced a partnership with Hartbeat, Kevin Hart’s multiplatform entertainment company, to debut four exclusive creator-driven films led by Kinigra Deon and the 85 South team. “We’re responding to our viewers’ growing appetite for bold, original storytelling by doubling down on exclusive content from digital-first creators,” said Rich Bloom, GM of creator programs and EVP of business development at at Tubi. “The investment is paying off, viewers who start their Tubi journey with creators show stronger retention — proof that these stories truly resonate with our audience and provide an engaged, incremental audience for creators.” In addition to Graceffa’s “Escape the Night,” here’s a breakdown of the new creator series coming to Tubi: In addition, Tubi this week is exclusively premiering a new creator-led comedy, “Skit,” from veteran producer and former TV executive Evan Shapiro, which follows three college students determined to make a viral YouTube video. The series features a group of creators including Nataly Aukar and Lukas Arnold.
