Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK is sparking speculation over his health among eagle-eyed social media sleuths. Users of the social media site X have spotted Trump appearing with bruised hands, a condition the White House says is because of frequent hand-shaking and the use of blood thinners. And in what has become classic Trump style, he also appears to be using a beige substance to cover up the marks on his hands, seemingly make-up. Others have also noted what appeared to be a drooping mouth seen earlier this month. And one X user also said Trump’s mouth looked “really strange” in a photo of the American leader posing with King Charles III . Some of the more bizarre theories also claim the Orange Manbaby fell asleep during Charles’ speech at a Windsor Castle banquet on Wednesday night. It is more likely Trump, 79, was trying to hear what the King was saying. Another X user claimed Trump’s lips and eyes, seen in a photo with the King in a horse-drawn carriage, were “abnormally white”. But there have been an array of theories ever since Trump embarked on his second Oval Office term this year. His inauguration saw him become the oldest man to be sworn in as president. Critics previously thought Trump was using Melania as a way of covering up the bruise on his hand after he was seen holding hands with his wife as they were greeted by the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales on the Windsor estate. Some think Trump used the same tactic to cover the mystery bruise as he and Melania greeted British dignitaries on Tuesday night. Trump also appeared to have used concealer on the bruise. Trump’s defenders have pointed out that it is not necessarily unusual for a man to hold hands with his wife. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has previously dismissed health concerns regarding the US President, maintaining the position that bruising results from handshakes. She declared: “President Trump is a man of the people and meets more Americans, shaking hands daily, than any other president in history. “His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day”. Mr Trump’s doctor, Sean Barbarella said: “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.” The White House has insisted, much like the Biden administration previously, that its 79-year-old leader will complete his full term. Trump cleared his initial medical examination earlier this year and was deemed fit for duty from both physical and mental perspectives. Trump met with Sir Keir Starmer today and suggested the PM should call in the military to tackle the small boats crisis, warning illegal migration could “destroy” countries. Sir Keir pointed to action, including the first return under the one in, one out deal with France, which took place on Thursday morning, just hours before the Prime Minister’s talks with Mr Trump. The Prime Minister said: “This is obviously an issue we’re taking incredibly seriously.” Trump also said he has “a disagreement with the Prime Minister on that score” when asked about Starmer’s plan to recognise a Palestinian state. And Starmer has defended freedom of speech as “one of the founding values of the United Kingdom” amid criticism from across the Atlantic about the UK’s commitment to it. Christianity is “wired into” the UK, the PM also suggested, when asked about faith.
