US President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, has stepped into the fashion world with the launch of her own clothing brand, unveiled in a striking debut that included photos taken on White House grounds.
The 18-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. announced her new line on Thursday, showcasing sweatshirts priced at $130. Each pullover features her initials embroidered on the chest and her signature at the cuff. Promotional images displayed on her website show Kai posing in the sweatshirts against the backdrop of the White House, underscoring the Trump family’s distinctive approach to blending politics, business, and personal branding.
On Friday, Kai joined her grandfather outside the White House as he fielded questions from reporters. Standing beside him in one of her sweatshirts, she was introduced by the 79-year-old Republican leader: “This is Kai, by the way,” Trump said, recalling how she had also delivered a short speech at last year’s Republican National Convention.
The pair, both avid golfers, then boarded a helicopter together to attend the Ryder Cup tournament. Kai, who is expected to join the golf team at the University of Miami next year, has often been spotted on the course with her grandfather.
Her parents, Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, are divorced, and her mother is reportedly dating golf legend Tiger Woods.
Kai’s business debut comes amid ongoing criticism that the Trump family frequently leverages public office for personal financial gain. The president himself is well known for marketing his own merchandise, from branded hats to cryptocurrency ventures. Critics have pointed to the use of the White House as a promotional backdrop as yet another example of blurred lines between official duties and private interests.
Still, Kai’s entry into fashion highlights a new generational chapter for the Trump family brand, merging politics, celebrity, and commerce in a manner that has become a hallmark of the former president’s legacy.
