Trump watches in horror as top executive collapses at White House press conference

A top executive has collapsed during a live press conference as President Donald Trumped watched in horror at the medical emergency. The medical emergency emergency happened in the Oval as Trump admin health officials were announcing a deal on lower prices for weight loss drugs. Chaos erupted as officials rushed to help Novo Nordisk executive Gordon Findlay as the press were kicked out of the room. Mr Findlay was standing behind the president when his knees buckled, with administration officials and pharmaceutical representatives rushing to his side to prevent him from hitting the floor. The White House stopped broadcasting the conference as the executive was attended to. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Mr Findlay is "okay" and that the conference will resume. An official statement said: “During the Most Favored Nations Oval Office Announcement, a representative with one of the companies fainted. The White House Medical Unit quickly jumped into action, and the gentleman is okay. The Press Conference will resume shortly.” Reporters in the Oval Office at the time before being rushed, said Dr Mehmet Oz - the administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services - helped the executive to the ground to prevent him from hitting his head, and that Cabinet members elevated his legs. The meeting was called over weight loss medications, expanding coverage and reducing prices for popular treatments used for obesity. President Donald Trump announced deals with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk that would lower the prices of some of their drugs used to help people manage their weight, according to CNBC. The GLP-1 drug prices are set to be lowered on Medicare and Medicaid, with treatments offered to consumers directly at a discount on a website which is going to be launched by the Trump administration in January 2026.
