Trump scalded by parents of Americans who have died fighting for Ukraine: “Talk to us”

Parents of American soldiers who have died fighting for Ukraine in the war with Russia are slamming President Donald Trump, the New York Post reported.
“Our loved ones … stood up for what is right. My son, and so many others, said, ‘It’s clear to see that this war is a war of good versus evil ‘” said Terri Hepworth, whose son, Dane Alan Partridge, was killed in action in 2022.
“I still don’t think President Trump really understands clearly what our loved ones did. I’d like him, and Congress, to actually talk to us and hear our stories.”
Parents of Americans who have died fighting for Ukraine in its war with Russia have been encouraged by the president’s growing support for Kyiv. And they want the president to know of the ultimate sacrifices that their son have made for a foreign country.
“If you read the Russians, they do not fight Ukraine; they fight America and Western civilization in general,” said Gennediy Baturin, whose son, David, was killed in action in 2023. “This is the underlying reason why our sons went to war.”
There is no official count of Americans who have died fighting for Ukraine.
The RT Weatherman Foundation — a U.S. nonprofit that supports veterans and their families, provides humanitarian aid and has been on the ground in Ukraine — has helped the families of 62 Americans killed in action.
Total numbers are estimated to be much higher, with the Museum of the History of Ukraine finding that 92 Americans had been reported dead.
Trump has recently upped his support for Ukraine and is considering sending the country Tomahawk missiles in a bid to get Russia to end the war.
“Trump’s support means that hopefully I can travel there, meet the people that [my son] Dalton fought and died for,” grieving father Warren Medlin said.
“It means maybe I can go to the area where he died, touch the ground, feel his energy, presence, just to be close to him for a while.”
