Trump, RFK Jr. to make 'major announcement' regarding autism cause findings

President Donald Trump is expected to make a highly anticipated announcement Monday afternoon about autism findings.
The 4 p.m. EST announcement from the Roosevelt Room is being described as an “announcement on Significant Medical and Scientific Findings for America’s Children.”
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt teased the president’s excitement over the announcement Monday, but said she did not want to “scoop” Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ahead of the announcement.
“What I can assure you is that Robert F. Kennedy and the incredible health team that this president has put together are really viewing things in a much different lens and they are paying attention to studies and the gold standard of science and research that many in this city for far too long have turned a blind eye to,” Leavitt said. ” So I think Americans are going to be enlightened and proud of what they hear later this afternoon.”
During political activist Charlie Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday, , “I think we found an answer to autism.”
Trump credited Kirk with bringing Kennedy into consideration for the HHS role when building his cabinet. Trump also revealed that Kennedy and Dr. Mehmet Oz will join him for the announcement on Monday.
According to the president, the administration will reveal how autism “happens, so we won’t let it happen anymore, and how to get at least somewhat better when you have it.”
The Washington Post, citing sources familiar with the administration’s plans, has reported that officials are expected to link autism to acetaminophens, like Tylenol, used during pregnancy and promote leucovorin as a treatment.
This potential revelation and approach from the administration could further alter medical guidance for pregnant women as well as autism treatment protocols, affecting millions of families.
Kennedy has made autism a major focus of his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda, promising to figure out “what has caused the autism epidemic,” the HHS secretary said back in April.
