President Donald Trump dragged former President Barack Obama and Obama’s wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, when he re-shared a race-tinged social media post on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported. The early morning Truth Social post showed a picture of actors Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little smiling in a scene from the 1974 film “Blazing Saddles.” Under the photo was the caption: “Racism in America was almost dead because we were united in ridiculing racists and their beliefs.” The meme re-posted by Trump then pans down to a picture of the Obamas with the caption, “Then these two showed up and set America back 100 years.” Trump also reposted a meme that accuses the former two-term Democratic president of creating the “fake Russian Collusion story,”’ and suggests that “Obama should GO TO PRISON.” Trump during the 2016 battled unfounded allegations that Russian President Vladimir Putin had worked to tilt that year’s presidential election in Trump’s favor. Rumors that Trump was in Putin’s pocket also helped fuel impeachment proceedings against Trump during the president’s first term in office. Speaking with Laura Ingraham on her Fox show “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday, Trump again said he wanted to come up with another health-care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, passed under Obama and also known as “Obamacare.” “Instead of going to the insurance companies, I want the money to go into an account for people where the people buy their own health insurance,” Trump said. “If we did that, that would be so exciting. Call it Trumpcare.” Said the president, “Call it whatever you want! Anything but Obamacare!” Trump has long talked about replacing Obamacare but has not launched a program of his own.
