She is Japan’s first female leader. Mr Trump has said he is open to extending his Asian trip to meet North Korea’s Kim Jong-un. But at this point there is no indication Pyongyang would accept such a last-minute meeting. On board Air Force One, Mr Trump has mused that he would “love” to run for a third term as president.
