Travis Kelce has scored many touchdowns during his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he made history with his latest score on Monday night. With the Chiefs leading the Commanders 14-7 with 3:21 remaining in the third quarter, Patrick Mahomes connected with Kelce on a 10-yard pass. That touchdown was the 83rd of his career, and he tied former Chiefs running back Priest Holmes for the most in Chiefs history. That is only counting regular season, as the score was also the 100th of his career if you count the playoffs. Kelce is putting together the best game of his season, as he has six catches for 99 yards entering the fourth quarter. Before this game, the most he had was six catches for 78 yards in the win against the Detroit Lions. While he got most of his touchdowns catching the ball, Holmes did his in different fashion. He played six seasons for the Chiefs from 2001 to 2007, and he put together one of the best three year stretches for any running back in NFL history. From 2001 to 2003, he rushed for 4,590 yards and scored and 56 touchdowns. He was also a playmaker in the passing game, as he finished with another 1,986 yards and five touchdowns. He could have added another special year in 2004, as he rushed for 892 yards and 14 touchdowns in eight games, but he suffered a hip injury that he was never able to regain his form. With Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy back, things have gotten a lot easier for Kelce. He isn't the focal point of opposing defenses, and he is able to work by himself in the middle of the field. The Chiefs will be back in action next week in one of the biggest games of the season when they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills in a game with major playoff implications.
