The Kansas City Chiefs enter their bye week at 5-4 after the first nine games of the season following the team’s latest regular-season loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Kansas City opened the season with back-to-back losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles before going 5-1 over its next six games to become the Super Bowl favorite once again. However, a 28-21 loss to the Bills has the Chiefs on the outside of a playoff spot looking in. As the second half of the season draws near, star tight end Travis Kelce, who leads the team in receptions with 41 and receiving yards with 540, delivered a stern message to his teammates. I know the guys we have and we’re gonna come back, recharge, and ready to rock and roll,” Kelce said with confidence before eventually admitting his frustration with the season. “I can’t say that I’m not frustrated more from the entire start of the season than just this Bills game. There’s games that I don’t think we had any business losing,” he added on the latest New Heights podcast episode. “I feel like we didn’t come out with our best punch against Buffalo. We’ve got to find out to clean all that up. We’ve got to get back to playing passionate Chiefs football. Whatever that takes during the bye week to get yourself ready on Sunday, even on a short week, no excuse. We’ve got a few games ahead of us where we’re gonna have short weeks.” Kansas City will face off against the Denver Broncos coming out of the bye.
