“The job market looks bright for skilled tech professionals thanks to the accelerating pace of innovation revolutionizing the tech industry over the past several years,” Forbes said.
“By 2034, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment in computer and information technology jobs is projected to increase faster than the average for all occupations.”
The rankings are designed to provide clarity of who are the best tech employers to consider.
“Despite an abundance of job openings, it’s not always apparent which companies are top-tier employers offering engaging work, flexible schedules, opportunities for growth or competitive compensation packages,” Forbes said.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed more than 25,000 tech workers in the United States employed at companies across all sectors with at least 1,000 people in the country.
Tech workers were defined as professionals who identified themselves as having a job focused on “tech” or “IT functions,” including software development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data project management, technical support and more.
Survey respondents were asked how likely they would be to recommend their current employer, their previous employer (within the past two years), and companies they knew through peers in their industry, or through friends or family who worked there.
