Tourism, a medium to share culture and History: Sara Juneja

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a seminar was organized in Chandigarh courtesy of the IKJ Care Foundation (which promises to share hope and happiness among people). Several eminent personalities participated in this event enthusiastically.

Sara Juneja, Director of IKJ Care Foundation, present on this occasion, shared the importance of tourism. She said that there are many such beautiful and historical tourist places in the world and visiting them is a matter of pride. Tourism connects the world and opens the window to various cultures while influencing social, cultural, political and economic values around the world. In fact, along with different experiences, entertainment and exploring new things and cultures, it also strengthens the nation’s economy and creates new job prospects.

Further, she talked about places to visit in India. There is so much to see, explore, and learn about, including Khajjiar located in Himachal Pradesh, also known as the “Mini Switzerland of India”. It would not be wrong if Kashmir is called “Heaven on Earth”. Pondicherry is famous among tourists across the globe for its beauty and climate. The name “Dil waalon ki Delhi” is synonymous with the country’s capital. The most notable is Rajasthan, which contains layers of history that are beyond our comprehension. India is fantastic, and I am glad to be Indian.

It is noteworthy that IKJ Care Foundation’s primary goals are to educate every child with perseverance, commitment, and hard work, to create a socially conscious society, to help treat children from economically deprived families, and to develop job-oriented career skills among girls and women. They also work to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other similar initiatives.

Sara Juneja believes in working at the grassroots level to transform more lives. She is the wife of Dr. Sanjeev Juneja, a well-known Indian business tycoon and investor, famously known as Brand Machine. He has also been the recipient of several honours.

According to Dr. Sanjeev Juneja, living a hectic life that involves doing repetitive tasks every day and not having time for family, might result in physical and mental distress. In this case, taking a break and going for a walk is crucial because it will reduce your stress levels while simultaneously enhancing your productivity.

The primary goal of World Tourism Day is to increase public awareness about the contribution that tourism makes to both the domestic and global economy. Additionally, it educates about how tourism impacts global social, cultural, political, and economic values. Not to mention that tourism is a key factor in the development of a nation’s economy.
