Tottenham XI vs Leeds: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Premier League

Tottenham will hope to have Cristian Romero back for their trip to Leeds on Saturday.

Thomas Frank’s side are at Elland Road for the lunchtime kick-off looking to improve on their dire record in matches before the international break.

It is two years since Spurs won in the fixture immediately before their players jetted off for international duty, a run extended by defeat to Bournemouth in August.

Spurs will be keen to have Romero available again after he missed the draw with Bodo/Glimt in midweek in what was described as a “precaution”.

Romero posted pictures of himself in training on Thursday on his social media accounts to suggest he could return to replace Kevin Danso, who struggled in Norway.

Joao Palhinha was on the bench against Bodo/Glimt and should come back into the starting lineup, while Archie Gray is pushing to be involved against his former club.

It is expected that Mohammed Kudus will start on the right after being surprisingly left out of the lineup in the Champions League and Xavi Simons could make his first start at No10 in the Premier League.

Richarlison has looked tired up front but could have to lead the line again with Dominic Solanke out after ankle surgery.

Summer arrival Randal Kolo Muani has made progress in his recovery from a dead leg and Frank will confirm at his press conference on Friday whether the Frenchman is ready to return to the squad.

Yves Bissouma and Kota Taki both returned to training ahead of the Bodo/Glimt match and could make the squad this weekend.

Tottenham predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Gray; Kudus, Simons, Odobert; Richarlison

Injured: Dragusin, Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke

Doubt: Kolo Muani
