Tottenham star considered among the best in the business; Manchester City interest no accident

His relationship with Van de Ven at the back, as well as, his ability to involve Odobert in the game made life easier for Thomas Frank. As per Sofascore, the 22-year-old completed 89% of his passes against Brighton, winning three of the seven ground duels that he contested for. The full-back’s all-round performance highlighted how important he is to the team as they aim to build on the Europa League success.

Tottenham star Destiny Udogie touted as one of Premier League’s best full-backs

Tottenham fans will be pleased to see Thomas Frank opt for Destiny Udogie for the Lilywhites’ game against Brighton. The Italy international is clearly a better option than Djed Spence on the left, considering that the 22-year-old is naturally left-footed. Also, Udogie’s work-rate and his ability to make an impact higher up the field is also something that gives him the edge over Spence.

John Wenham has also taken the opportunity to heap praise on the Italian for his strong display against Brighton. Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said,

“I still think Udogie is a little bit better than Spence when he is fully fit in firing. The fullback that we saw linked with Manchester City earlier in the summer, if you remember, that’s the level he can be, in my opinion.”
