Tottenham manager Thomas Frank recently suggested that he may start Randal Kolo Muani against Villarreal. Dominic Solanke’s ankle injury has reduced the options, increasing the likelihood of Muani’s inclusion. His greatest strength is his versatility, as he can play both centrally and on the wing. The Frenchman’s pace and direct dribbling constantly challenge opposition defenders, while his habit of cutting inside and creating chances adds variety to the team’s attacking strength.
However, his time at PSG showed he still needs to improve his finishing. The 26-year-old creates chances, but must become more consistent in turning them into goals. Kolo Muani’s poor control and errors in possession sometimes trouble the team, although he has shown signs of improvement. Spurs signed him on loan to add depth and competition to the forward line after the departure of Son Heung-Min. He is expected to play a key role for Tottenham in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
In the match against Villarreal, the Spanish side remains defensively strong, though recent performances have exposed some weaknesses. We predict Spurs to win at home, though by a narrow margin. On the other hand, Villarreal’s strong away record against English teams can bring a draw as a real possibility. Yet fans believe Tottenham will make the night special by creating history at home.
