BURR RIDGE, IL – The top-paid employee at Burr Ridge School District 180 in the 2024-25 school year was Superintendent Charles Kyle, who left for another district after the end of the year.
He replaced Thomas Schneider, who retired in June 2023 after 17 years at the helm. Schneider has returned as interim superintendent.
Kyle’s pay last year was $219,230, a lot less than Schneider’s concluding salary of $315,000.
Kyle made nearly 40 percent more than the second-highest paid employee.
The district, which had 480 students last year, recently approved the release of the 2024-25 compensation list.
