Top 2026 recruit GiGi Battle has committed to Indiana, she announced on Wednesday. The 5-11 guard from Edison (NJ) chose the Hoosiers over Rutgers, Georgia Tech, Stanford and more.
“The biggest thing for me is just player development and being played as a combo guard,” Battle previously told Rivals. “That’s really big when it comes to finding a college, and that’s what I’m doing right now when it comes to development. Academics, of course, is huge for me and my family. Culture and fit – fit is really big. Just knowing that I’m being surrounded by people that are trying to get to that high level that I’m trying to achieve. Winning is huge and having the chance to get to a national championship is a dream.”
Back in May when Indiana was just starting to get involved in Battle’s recruitment, she talked to Rivals about her experience.
“They’re new,” she said. “I think they’re really just starting to recruit me, but they’ve done a good job of that so far. The coach reaches out to me and texts me and looks for updates, and I update him on the past weekend and games and all that stuff, but I’m really interested in their program and learning more about their program and possibly getting to see campus.”
